About Rumain Hettiarachchige

Rumain trained at the International College of Osteopathic Medicine in Naples (Italy) obtaining the Diploma in Osteopathy (D.O).

Subsequently he undertook further training obtaining a Masters Degree in Osteopathy (M.Ost) from Kingston University and then registered as an Osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) – the UK regulator.

Rumain’s aim is to stimulate the body’s self-regulation and self-healing mechanisms, through soft-tissue and manipulative techniques.

He believes it is vital for all people to be aware of how injuries can happen and what can be done to avoid them as he wants his patients to keep active and enjoy the benefits of good general health.

Rumain is passionate and dynamic in treating all types of patients and conditions using the full range of mechanical, cranial and visceral approaches learnt during his training.

Outside of work Rumain enjoys walking and cycling and looks forward to exploring all that Scotland has to offer. He speaks English, Italian, Sri Lankan, Neapolitan and a little bit of Hindi.

Rumain works at our Glasgow High Street clinic Monday, Thursday and Friday and at our Paisley clinic on Tuesday and Saturday.
